Johana Merta je výtvarnice narozená v Brně (1987). Tvoří pod značkou *♾️ (čtěte hvězda/nekonečno). Studovala rozmanitou škálu kreativních metod od výstavnictví, performance, intermédia, až po kresbu a grafiku, kde absolvovala studia 2017. V České republice vystavuje kontinuálně od roku 2008. Je zastoupena ve sbírkách Moravské galerie a města Mikulova. Její tvorbu vlastní soukromí sběratelé v Evropě, Anglii a Americe.

KAKABUSOVÉ vypráví množství příběhů současným jazykem. Jednotlivé sochy zastupují různorodé emoce, kterým rozumí každý, bez nutné znalosti jazyka, nebo kulturního kontextu. Každá ze soch je ilustrací různě dobrodružné nebo obyčejné situace, se kterou je možné se ztotožnit nebo se vůči ní vymezit.

Johana Merta is an artist born in Brno (1987). She works under the brand *♾️ (read star/infinity). She has studied a diverse range of creative methods from exhibition, performance, and intermedia to drawing and graphic design, graduating in 2017. She has exhibited continuously in the Czech Republic since 2008. She is represented in the collections of the Moravian Gallery and the town of Mikulov. Her work is owned by private collectors in Europe, England and America.

KAKABUSOVÉ tells a variety of stories in contemporary language. The individual sculptures represent a diversity of emotions that can be understood by everyone, without the necessary knowledge of language or cultural context. Each of the sculptures is an illustration of a different adventurous or ordinary situation that one can identify with or define oneself against.
